6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 5, 2017 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Special Events Application, Mashpee Baptist Church: <br /> A Special Events Application was before the Board from the Mashpee Baptist Church requesting to <br /> hold Sunday Church Services at the Mashpee Community Park gazebo on June 11, 2017, July 9, 2017 <br /> and August 13, 2017 from 10:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. <br /> The application and stipulations as determined by applicable Town Departments was presented to the <br /> Board in a memorandum dated May 31,2017 from Christine Willander,Administrative Assistant to <br /> the Board of Selectmen and Town Manager. <br /> It was disclosed that signage to announce the services shall be limited to 7 days before the event to be <br /> removed within 24 hours after the event in accordance with the Town's Signage Policy. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Special Events Application of the Mashpce <br /> Baptist Church subject to the conditions as described in the memorandum of May 31,2017, and <br /> in accordance with the Town's Signage Policy. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed, none <br /> Sign Permit, Race Wire: <br /> Colin Henry was in attendance on behalf of Race Wire LLC requesting the Board approve signage for <br /> the Beach and Back Half Marathon Race scheduled to be held on June 11, 2017. Mr. Henry indicated <br /> the basic signage would be placed at each one per mile mark of the course, approximately 2-3' off the <br /> road areas. Seventeen turn arrows are proposed to be fastened to white barricades. There should be no <br /> impact to traffic. All signage would be set on Saturday afternoon and removed promptly after the race <br /> on Sunday. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Sign Permit of Race Wire LLC for the Beach <br /> and Back Half Marathon Race on Sunday,June 11,2017. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed, none <br />
