9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 5, 2017 <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> Approval of Letter to the Department of the Interior regarding Intergovernmental Agreement: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalan to place the above topic on the Selectmen's Agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed,none <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed a draft letter to the Department of the Interior regarding remand <br /> proceedings related to Littlefield v. United States; 16-CV-10184 (D.Mass.) With the exception of <br /> minor typos,the letter relative to the Town's commitment to support the Tribe's trust application was <br /> approved as follows; <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to send the letter to the Department of the Interior in <br /> terms of the agreement with the Tribe regarding the Intergovernmental Agreement(IGA). <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed,none <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Correspondence from Mass Bgy Constables Association Inc. in regards to House Bill No. 2252: <br /> Notification from the Mass Bay Constable Association, Inc. regarding House Bill No. 2252 was <br /> reviewed. The bill if approved would take away most of the powers and duties of municipal constables <br /> in the State of Massachusetts. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to take no position regarding the House Bill at this time. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed, none <br />
