Page 11 Board of Selectmen Minutes August 26, 1996 Request for i m Ld-qu!Qr License: Communication was received from Dr. Steven Perry,Vice-President of the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce dated August 13, 1996 requesting the Board approve a temporary Liquor License for August 30, 31 and September 1 for the third Annual New England Jazz Festival and on October 12, 1996 for the octktoberfest. (enclosed) Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the above request of the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce for a temporary Liquor License on the dates as specified. Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. VOI Unanimous. 5-01, u f John's Pond North Cove Association: Correspondence was received from John Pellegrini,President of the John's Pond North Cove Association requesting the Board support i the repair of the boat ramp located on Shorewood Road n Mashpee. It was noted that the ramp is located on private property. Mr.Pellegrini has suggested the Fire Department and Harbor Master have access to the ramp in the event of an emergency situation. It is the consensus of the Board to not support the above request. There is no significant public safety issue for the Town. Since the ramp is located on private property,it is not a project the Board can entertain. Mr.Whritenour will submit a letter of response on behalf of the Board. Apl2rQvW of NegotiatinLy Process for Au a 's Cmification Application: Economic Development Coordinator,Wayne Duchemin submitted f communication to the Board dated August 23,1996 relative to the negotiating process for the Economic Opportunity Area, Certified Project at Augat. Mr.Duchemin recommended the Board appoint a negotiating team with representation from the Board of Selectmen,Board of Assessors, } Finance Committee,Economic Development committee,Executive Secretary and Economic Assistance Coordinating Council. Matter taken under advisement at this time.
