Page 10 <br /> Board of S electme n <br /> Minutes <br /> December 2, 1996 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Li uor License Hearin - Cookes Restaurant: <br /> Selectman Costa opened the Public Hearing on the application of <br /> Cookes-Mashpee, Inc., Demetrius Trempelas, Manager, for a <br /> Seasonal Restaurant All Alcoholic Beverages License. <br /> Demetrius Trempelas,President and Manager of Record, and James <br /> Haidas,Treasurer and Clerk of Cookes-Mashpee, Inc. were present <br /> to discuss the license application with members of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Attorney Myer Singer was also present on behalf of the applicants. <br /> Mr. Singer indicated that Cookes-Mashpee, Inc. has come before the <br /> Board to request a seasonal all alcoholic beverages license. The full service, <br /> family style restaurant will serve primarily seafood noted Mr. Singer. <br /> Mr. Haidas added that he presently plans to open for lunch and dinner <br /> only, and requested the Board approve the hours of operation from <br /> 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. <br /> The building plans have been approved by the Board of Appeals and <br /> Design Review added Mr. Singer who requested the Selectmen hold the <br /> license application until the building has been completed, and all areas <br /> have been inspected in accordance to building plans and specifications. <br /> Selectman Costa opened the Hearing to obtain public comment. <br /> Being none, Selectman Costa requested a vote from the Board to close <br /> the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> YOTE; Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Mr.Haidas indicated that he owns a similar establishment in Hyannis <br /> and in Orleans. In Mashpee, he has proposed to have a small bar area <br /> consisting of eleven seats to be utilized as a holding area for patrons in <br /> addition to dining. There will be no outside patio dining noted Mr. Haidas. <br /> Based upon the present construction schedule, we plan to open in the <br /> spring of 1997 informed Mr. Haidas. <br />
