Page 6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 18, 1996 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Con rvation ommission --Designation of Districts of Critical <br /> Planning Concern: (continued) <br /> Ms.Fenn indicated that regulations to carry out a DCPC are locally <br /> administered and controlled because regulations are created and enforced <br /> by the communities. <br /> The Mashpee Commons project is currently before the Cape Cod <br /> Commission as a Development of Regional Impact, and is therefore <br /> not subject to a DCPC nomination informed Ms. Fenn. <br /> If the Boch Center is filed as a Development of Regional Impact(DRI) <br /> prior to the DCPC nomination, it will not be subject to a DCPC nomination <br /> indicated Ms. Fenn. <br /> It was noted that Martha's Vineyard has used approximately eighteen <br /> DCPC nomination processes. The Town of Falmouth is currently <br /> reviewing a DCPC nomination for the Black.Beach area located in West <br /> Falmouth. It was noted that approval will be placed before the voters <br /> at Town Meeting next week. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to schedule a Public Hearing <br /> on the DCPC Nomination as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VDIEs. Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Marsters abstained. <br /> *Date and time to be announced for the above Public Hearing. <br /> Recess: 9:05 p.m. Meeting Resumed: 9:15 p.m. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Correspondence from Finance Committee Chairman regardi n g <br /> Town-owned property, <br /> Correspondence was received from Sidney Golub, Chairman of the <br /> Finance Committee dated October 29, 1996 relative to Town-owned <br /> foreclosed property. <br /> It was noted that the Board is currently reviewing the above subject <br /> matter at this time. It is considered as an objective of the Board, and <br /> a part of the Local Comprehensive Plan. Matter taken under advisement. <br />
