Page 1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 7, 1996 <br /> Present: Selectman Costa, Selectman Marsters, Selectman Caffyn,Selectman Dinizio <br /> Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour <br /> Assistant to the Executive Secretary Joyce Mason <br /> Absent: Selectman Frye <br /> Guests: Diane Rommelmeyer,David Doneski,Jeremy Carter <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Costa at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Middle School Conference Room. <br /> Town Meeting Warrant Review: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met prior to the October Town Meeting for <br /> the purpose of reviewing the warrant. Mr. Whritenour dispersed the <br /> amendments as recommended by Town Counsel. (enclosed) <br /> Discussion followed with regards to several of the articles and <br /> recommendations as presented on the Town Meeting warrant. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to amend Article#15; <br /> Town Hall Water Main Connection; to read: $75,000 <br /> It was noted that the sum reflects a maximum contribution of 50%, <br /> to include all connection fees associated with the hook-up of public <br /> water supply. <br /> Communication was received from James Hanks, Chairman of the <br /> Waterways Commission dated October 4, 1996 relative to the Aubrey <br /> Consulting study of the Mashpee River. (enclosed) <br /> The Waterways Commission has recommended to continue the <br /> development of a comprehensive "Master Dredging Plan" as the <br /> preferred approach to improving the waterways of the Town of Mashpee. <br /> The above matter was taken under advisement at this time. <br />
