Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Sherman at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> MINUTES <br /> Monday, January 2$ 2019 Regular&Executive Sessions: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the minutes of Monday,January.28,2019 Regular <br /> and Executive Sessions as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: None at this time. <br /> Public Hearin : New Shellfish Aquaculture License Shellfish Grant Lisa Bohnenber ,er 103 River <br /> Road,Mashpee MA: <br /> The Board of Selectmen opened the Public Hearing on the application filed on October 31, 2018 by Lisa <br /> Bohnenberger, 103 River Road, Mashpee, MA requesting a Shellfish Aquaculture License (Shellfish <br /> Grant) for a 1.01-acre site,to be located in Ockway Bay, to grow oysters and quahogs. Demarcation <br /> buoys will be standard 16-inch round, yellow polyethylene, anchored at the corners of the site. The <br /> application as well as plans for the licensed area is on file at the Office of the Town Manager and Board of <br /> Selectmen. <br /> The Hearing notice was read aloud into the record in accordance with posting requirements. Lisa <br /> Bohnenberger was in attendance to respectfully request approval of the 1.01 acre site with a total <br /> perimeter of 890.6 ft. (50,095 square feet) Shellfish Grant located in Ockway Bay, Mashpee. <br /> The goal of this project is to increase the propagation of oysters and quahogs and to mitigate the nitrogen <br /> removal from the surrounding water bodies to improve water quality in this area. The applicant intends to <br /> purchase seed from an approved shellfish hatchery and grow the shellfish to market size. <br />
