As with any appropriation <br /> from a stabilization fund, a 2/3rd's vote of Town Meeting would be required. With the <br /> acceptance of the statute, the Town cannot revolve its acceptance for at least three years. <br /> Article: To direct a portion of the receipt of marijuana host agreement payment and local option tax <br /> funds derived from marijuana sales to stabilization for certain capital expenses: <br /> REMOVED <br /> Recommendation to dedicate 75% of the local rooms excise tax into a special purpose <br /> Capital Expenditure Stabilization Fund to fund the Town's wastewater management <br /> program, affordable housing and transportation improvements. As with any appropriation <br /> from a stabilization fund, a 2/3`d's vote of Town Meeting would be required. With the <br /> acceptance of the statute, the Town cannot revoke its acceptance for at least three years. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to remove the above referenced article and not recommend. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-1.
