Article 4 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and borrow, pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 7(9), of <br /> the Massachusetts General Laws or other lawful authority, $650,000 for the purchase of a Fire <br /> Department Pumper Truck, including costs associated therewith, or take any other action relating <br /> thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This action authorizes the borrowing for the purchase, equipping, and training for <br /> the use of a new pumper truck for the Fire Department. This project has been recommended by <br /> the Capital Improvement Program Committee. Funding for this bond will be paid through <br /> ambulance receipts. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman John Cotton. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and borrow, pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 7(9), <br /> of the Massachusetts General Laws or other lawful authority, $650,000 for the purchase of a Fire <br /> Department Pumper Truck, including costs associated therewith. <br /> Motion passes by 2/3 ds vote at 8:08 PM. <br /> Article 5 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to approve the annual regional school district budget for the Cape <br /> Cod Regional Technical High School District for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2016, in the <br /> amount of $14,459,000, and further, to see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br /> $1,137,175 to meet its share of the cost of operation and maintenance of the Cape Cod Regional <br /> Technical High School District for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2016, or take any other <br /> action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: Mashpee's share of the Regional Technical High School budget is $1,137,175. <br /> There are 59 students from Mashpee at the Regional Technical High School, a decrease of three <br /> students from last year. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman John Cahalane. <br /> 8 <br />
