Explanation: This article will transfer funds from the Waterways Improvement Fund to be used <br /> by the Harbormaster for the following equipment, repairs and maintenance; <br /> $4,000 Large Waterway equipment repairs, props, bottom paint, <br /> Hauling, oil & filters, batteries, steering cable, decals <br /> $1,000 Navigational Aids <br /> $2,000 Boat Winterization <br /> $1,000 Spring tune-ups & Season boat prep <br /> $1,000 Repair/Replace Electronics <br /> $6,000 Outboard Engine <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 7-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Michael Richardson. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer$15,000 from the Waterways <br /> Improvement Fund account to the Waterways Maintenance Account. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:21 PM. <br /> Article 8 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer $50,000 from the Waterways <br /> Improvement Fund Account to the Waterways Dredging Account, or take any other action <br /> relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Waterways Commission <br /> Explanation: These funds are necessary to enable the Town to respond to emergency <br /> repair/dredging of Mashpee's Waterways should unforeseen storm damage/ channel blockage <br /> occur. These monies would cover short haul or long haul dredging and repairs as might be <br /> required and would be readily available should an event occur. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 7-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Carol Sherman. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer $50,000 from the Waterways <br /> Improvement Fund Account to the Waterways Dredging Account. <br /> 5 <br />
