Motion passes unanimously at 7:27 PM. <br /> Article 12 <br /> To see if the Town will vote, pursuant to the provisions of G.L. c.59, §38H, to authorize the <br /> Board of Selectmen and Board of Assessors to negotiate and enter into a payment in lieu of tax <br /> agreement with the lessee/operator of the solar photovoltaic energy generating facility to be <br /> developed at the Mashpee Landfill/ Transfer station property, located at 380 Asher's Path East, <br /> shown on Mashpee Assessor's records as Parcel 61-3-0-E, upon such terms and conditions as the <br /> Board of Selectmen and Assessors shall deem to be in the best interest of the Town, or take any <br /> other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article will authorize the Board of Selectmen and Board of Assessors to <br /> negotiate and enter into a payment in lieu of taxes agreement with the lessee/operator of the solar <br /> photovoltaic facility over the term of the proposed land lease. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Michael Richardson. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote, pursuant to the provisions of G.L. c.59, §38H, to authorize the <br /> Board of Selectmen and Board of Assessors to negotiate and enter into a payment in lieu of tax <br /> agreement with the lessee/operator of the solar photovoltaic energy generating facility to be <br /> developed at the Mashpee Landfill/ Transfer station property, located at 380 Asher's Path East, <br /> shown on Mashpee Assessor's records as Parcel 61-3-0-E, upon such terms and conditions as the <br /> Board of Selectmen and Assessors shall deem to be in the best interest of the Town. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:30 PM. <br /> Article 13 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend General Bylaws, Chapter 3, Article VII—Board of Sewer <br /> Commissioners, §3-25, Membership, Terms by deleting the first sentence and replacing it with <br /> the following: <br /> "The Board of Sewer Commissioners shall consist of seven (7) voters of the Town appointed by <br /> the Selectmen, one (1) from each of the five (5)precincts and two (2) appointed at large. Should <br /> no suitable candidate apply for any vacant position intended to represent a precinct after thirty <br /> (30) days of advertisement of the vacancy by the Selectmen, the Board of Selectmen may re- <br /> advertise the vacancy and appoint any qualified applicant who is a voter of the Town." <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Sewer Commission <br /> 8 <br />
