He Inquired <br /> about the timeline to set-up a program according to the State regulation,and Mr. Harrington responded - <br /> that the law is effective July 1, 2019 with the first payment due on August 1 for any rental booked after <br /> January 1,2019. <br /> Ms, Langler asked if the Selectmen were looking to take action on this matter promptly, and Mr. <br /> Harrington answered that he had not spoken directly to any of the Selectmen but was working closely <br /> with the Assistant Town Manager, Ms. Langler stated that she was fully in favor of a rental program, <br /> particularly because low rental Inventory makes residents accept sub-par housing standards, and she <br /> believes a rental program would allow for stronger compliance and better quality housing. Chair <br /> Baumgaertel expressed his support of a rental program as well,but believes that It will bean uphill battle. <br /> Mr. Harrington advised the board that he will make every effort to bring this to town meeting in May <br /> because, If It is adopted,the Attorney General still has to approve it before the July 1 effective date. If <br /> town meeting votes It down, the board can go back to the drawing board. Request for Waiver of Individual Temporary Food Fees, Spincloud Organic Cotton Candy. Mr. <br /> Harrington commented that the owner of Spincloud has requested.that she be able to sell her <br /> products at events on a temporary basis for one-time annual fee rather than.pay the Individual <br /> daily temporary food permit fee for each event.The board has previously approved a$100 annual <br /> fee for Spincloud to operate at temporary events,the same as the mobile permits. <br /> There being no further discussion or questions, Mallory Langler moved to approve the one-time <br /> Temporary Food Establishment Permit fee for Spincloud Organic Cotton Candy. Mr. Harrington commented that he had <br /> reviewed the Bourne regulation on Restricting the Sale of Marijuana, and used It as a basis for <br /> Mashpee's draft regulation. He performed the review using the MAHB model regulation as a <br /> guide.
