Mashpee Waterways Coa m sdon <br /> Minutes of the lumber 11th,2012 Meeting <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ken Bates at0903 AM Meeting Room#3, <br /> Mashpee Town Hall. <br /> Present were: Ken Bates,Tim Leedham,Al Wickel,Paul Zammito,Bill Taylor and Stephen <br /> Mone <br /> Absent: Steve Pinard <br /> Also Present Rick York and Don.McDonald prospective Waterways Commission.member <br /> Voted unanimous approval of minutes of October9tb,2012 meeting. Motion by Bill Taylor, <br /> second by,Paul Zammito <br /> Voted unanimous to send letter to BOS approving payment of 4916 channel Maintenance dredge. <br /> Motion by Paul Zammito,second by Bill Taylor <br /> Voted unanimous approval and recommend approval by DOS on Impey family dock request: <br /> Motion by Al Wickel,second by Paul Zammito <br /> Voted unanimous approval to accept with regret the resignation of Stephen Mone from the <br /> Waterways Commission.MotionbyBill Taylor,second by Tim Leedham <br /> Correspondence <br /> Letter of resignation of Stephen Mone,Mashpee Harbormaster,from Waterways Commission <br /> Committee Reports: <br /> Harbormaster Report: Stephen Mone advised that all was quiet and the recent dredge <br /> effects looked good.He also reported that be and Shellfish Warden Rick York had relocated their <br /> equipment from the Police enclosed lot to the location of the former skate board lot. <br /> Shellfish Report: Shellfish Constable Rick York reported that he witnessed a better <br /> scallop season with about 50 bushels harvested.Oysters still remained at.Mashpee Neck landing <br /> area.He also reported that State EPA/DEP had approved oyster propagation in our wastewater <br /> management plan being prepared.He explained that a plan`B'must be in place.Also some areas <br /> will not recover even if total sewering around that location was accomplished according to DEP. <br /> Mashpee-Wakeby:Bill Taylor reported information regarding Lake and enjoyment of, is <br /> now available on the Town's web site. <br /> Waquoit Bay: Rick York reports that all seems quiet. <br /> Popponesset Bay:Tim Leedham reported that all is quiet. <br /> Water Quality Test Program:Nothing to Report <br /> Sewer Commission:Nothing to report <br /> Barnstable County Coastal Resources Update:Nothing to <br /> Public Access:Nothing new to report <br /> Waterways Improvement Plan and Dredging. Mr.Bates reported 1916 maintenance dredge is <br /> complete.He also.reported that Save the Bay has completed their dredge programs following the <br /> recent storms and the spit is in much healthier condition now.Wash over number 4 still in need of <br /> repair............Approach channel Mx.dredge still planned for March 2013. Material from this <br /> activity could be used to shore up and repair wash over#4.Also reported was the denial by the <br /> Mashpee Conservation Commission in the Town's attempt to dredge the Mashpee River and <br />
