IR <br /> Mashpee Waterways Committee Meeting Minutes of <br /> May 10th, 2011 Meeting. <br /> The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Iden Bates at 9:o4AM in fleeting Room <br /> , Ilashpee Town Hall. <br /> Present were; lien Bates, Bill Taylor, Perry Ellis, Tiny Leedham, Al Wickel <br /> Absent: Paul Zammitto and Steve Pinard <br /> Also in attendance: Rick York-Shellfish Constable <br /> motion to approve the meeting minutes of the April 12Ih, 2011 meeting was made b <br /> Al wrclel, by Bill Taylor, and unanimously approved. <br /> Committee Reports <br /> Harbormasters Report: Shellfish Constable Riel York reported that Patrol bows were in <br /> place at both Little River and New Seabury Marinas. He furthered reported that approach <br /> channel markers to Fopponeset Bay would be in place by ret week. Aids to Navigation <br /> were repaired and in place in Fopponesset Bay. <br /> Shellfish Constable Re-port: Shellfish Constable Rick York reported that Quahog fishing <br /> was taping place as expected. Cape Cod Water Resources Restoration Projects <br /> (CCWRRP) both Santuit Fond, Fish Passage Restoration Project and Mashpee leek <br /> Road Shoestring Bay Storm-water Remediation Projects were moving forward. 25% <br /> funding was complete for design. I ashpee DPW was also working on funding for the <br /> Santuit Fond solar powered oxygen generators. <br /> wa uoit Bay: ferry Ellis reported that recent dredge effects looped good with water <br /> depths remaining in good shape for this season's boating activities, Tiny Leedhan <br /> mentioned he planned to continue his review of the local boating areas and would include <br /> the wauolt Bay estuaries in the next few weeks. <br /> I <br /> Popponesset BE. Al wi l el and Tim Leedham have both noticed what appears to be <br /> better flushing in the Fopponesset Bay areas after the 1916 maintenance dredge. <br /> Members were waiting to see and hopeful that there would be changes to the water <br /> quality as reported by this up-corning ear's water duality testing program, Mr. Leedharn <br /> also reported that there has been little boat traffic, but recently he. did visit the new <br /> dredged area in the Bay and was very pleased with the soundings recorded. we are <br /> looping forward to the positive reviews we should receive this summer when the boaters <br /> return to find safer and deeper waters for their boating pleasures, <br /> 1lsh ee-Wao ; Bill Taylor reported on the recent passing of chairman Bili Marters. <br />
