Mashpee-Wakeby:Bill Taylor reported that there was little to report. Steve Mone reported on <br /> citation warnings being issued to some jet-ski operators on Johns Pond. He noted that when the <br /> Harbormaster boats are on patrol few problems exist. <br /> Water Quality Test Program: Steve Pinard reported on another successful test year on all the <br /> Bays. Steve commended At Wicket and John West,Bay Managers,as well as all volunteer <br /> personnel for their hard work and support for the Program. Steve sent a thank you email to all <br /> volunteers congratulating all on a successful season and looking forward to next years Program. <br /> Included was a request for volunteers to seek additional volunteers who may be interested in <br /> providing Boat Captain service's for next year in Popponesset Bay. <br /> Sewer Commision:No report <br /> Barnstable County Coastal Resources Update:No report <br /> Public Access:No report <br /> Waterways Improvement Plan and Dredging:Ken Bates reported that a season end survey of the <br /> 1916 channel to determine what amount of sand retrenchment took place will be done before the <br /> end of November. This will assist in planning for needed future maintenance dredging of the <br /> 1916 Channel in the future. <br /> Old Business: <br /> 5 Year Planning <br /> Mashpec River Entrance Dredging: Ken reported he and At Wicket had met with <br /> Applied Coastal Engineering to request estimated costs for completing a new dredge project for <br /> the Mashpee River Entrance. <br /> Great Riverl0 Acre site for Marina Presently reviewing Town Contract with State and <br /> the enabling legislation for this site. The South Cape Beach Advisory Committee would take the <br /> lead on this project. <br /> Ockway Bay Marina exploration project and Mashpee Neck improvements project—no <br /> report <br /> Popponesset Entrance Buoy. Steve Pinard noted that the Coast Guard preferred to work <br /> on details of this project directly with Harbormaster Mone. The Coast Guard supplied an outline <br /> of the approval process required. Steve Mone reported that he had been in torch with the Coast <br /> Guard. They have no problem with a private maintained buoy located I to 3 miles outside of the <br /> Popponesset Entrance and offered to meet with Harbormaster Mone on this subject within the <br /> next few weeks. <br /> A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 10:05AM by Steve Pinard,seconded by Paul <br /> Zammitto,and unanimously approved. <br /> NEXT MEETING IS OCTOBER 11,9:00AM,Meeting Room 3 Town Hall <br /> v� <br />
