Committee Reports: <br /> <br />Harbormaster Report: <br />Harbormaster Stephen Mone reported that al the boats had been hauled for the season and were being <br />prepared for the winter, and shrink wrapped. <br /> <br />Shellfish: No report <br /> <br />Mashpee-Wakeby: Bill Taylor reported that nothing new had taken place since the last meeting <br /> <br />Popponessett Bay: Tim Leedham reported that all was calm and peaceful. <br /> <br />Waquoit Bay: same <br /> <br />Water Quality Test Program: Steve Pinard reported that this was a quiet period. In preparation for the <br />coming Spring, SMAST will be contacted by Steve, and requested to prepare a letter that outlines the <br />coming years test program and costs for sample analysis as required by the Town. Funds can then be set <br />aside for this coming years Program. Steve will send a letter to the Town (Joyce Mason) requesting that the <br />Town advise SMAST that they proceed with this year’s Test Program. <br /> <br />Public Access, Sewer Commission, Barnstable County Coastal Resources- no report <br /> <br />TOY Dredge Restrictions-Ken Bates reported that the TOY working group had met with the State (DEP) <br />and the COE to further the development of the new TOY Restrictions document being prepared by the <br />State. The final item to be discussed/negotiated is the “Embayment Dredging Days” definition and is being <br />worked on by Mr. Jaedtke the Barnstable County Dredge Supervisor and Ms. Katherine Ford of Mass DEP. <br />Regions have been decided and the Cape and Islands dredge projects spread sheet is being completed. <br />A new State DEP Directive is being developed to consolidate certain reports that multiple approving <br />agencies could sign in to thus decreasing redundant workloads and saving the Cities and Towns approval <br />time which in turn should be a savings of dollars. <br /> <br />Dredge Projects: Ken Bates reported that a letter had been sent to the Board of Selectmen regarding the <br />Waterways Commission recommendation to proceed on a dredge project for the Mashpee River Entrance <br />along with estimated cost projections.
