Town of Mashpee <br /> 4n <br /> 16 Great Xeck &ad Xorth <br /> Mah ,Massachusetts 02649 <br /> *WHPEEWATE9tWAySC0MMj5�,520N <br /> M,INUIIIES <br /> Yuly3f MOI <br /> Chairperson, Jim Hanks, called the meeting to order at 7:11 p.m. <br /> Attendance: Jinn Hanks, Herb Silver, Gerald Daly, Paul Lumsden, John Swart bau h, Bill <br /> Taylor, and Secretary Jennifer Ahearn. <br /> Other Attendees: Perry Ellis Hwbor aster ,Rick York Shellfish Constable), Ed Baker, Mimi <br /> Josephs, Fred Blythe, Attorney Paul wihtnan and Alan Barmy of the Mahpee Enterprise. <br /> Public Comment: Attorney, Paul Wightman attended to discuss a dock owned by Fred Blythe. <br /> Three sets of dock plans were distributed for members to view. <br /> 4'm Hanks asked Mr. Wi htn an if he had the approval of the Conservation Committee to which <br /> he responded in the affirmative. <br /> Mr. vi htman gave a brief overview of the history of the dock and why they were before the <br /> Waterways Commission seeking;approval. Because of some prior litigation, they were required <br /> to move the dock slightly and therefore they needed to seek approval once again. The dock is in <br /> water that is slightly deeper than before. Responding to questions posed from various <br /> Commission members, Aft. W htman explained exactly where the dock was initially and <br /> exactly where it was relocated and also Formed everyone that the dock would be removed <br /> durong the winter months. There was some concern and discussion about the number of people, <br /> particularly youngsters swinuning and playing in that particular area. Harbormaster Ferry Ellis <br /> was on hand to clarify the location and activity present 10n the area of the proposed clock. It was <br /> concluded that the dock would be low enough to the ground as to not create an obstacle for <br /> people walldng along the beach. <br /> Jerry Daly made a motion to approve the new location for Fred Blythe"s dock. Paul Lumsden <br /> seconded the motion. Herb Silver made a motion to table the motion. Charman, Jim Hanks, <br /> seeing no second for Mr. Silver's motion, asked for discussion on the motion to approve fir. <br />
