Torn Fudala stated that there are only 3 members left on the watershed Management Committee. Paul reported that the wetlands in the vicinity of the drainage easement from the Mass Military Reservation to Johns pond are contaminated with heavy metals and petroleum chemicals. Bane Boretos says they are being monitored. Another topic of their meeting is that here is a problem involving Public Access at the Seconsett Island Causeway. Residents are upset over garbage being left, and the parking situation, and some residents took their vehicles and trailers and blocked the parking area, thus excluding the public. The Natural Resources Management Committee agreed to bring the issue to the waterways Commission to see what action they will take. . Waterways Improvement Flan and Dred in Permits—Jinn Hanks Mashpee bier Dredge Permit Jim hanks reported that a teleconference was held between Greg Penta, Leslie Fields,Eric Hutchins, and himself regarding dredging the upper part of the Mashpee liver. Eric requires an Essential Fish Habitat analysis among other things to prove that the benefits outweigh the impacts in that part of the river. Jinx Hanks reported on a draft letter from the woods Hole Group listing the extra work required as a result of the MEPA certificate, and the fact that is out of scope. He outlined a plan to take the final later, assess the meaning of it and present a set of alternatives to the Board of Selectmen for their decision. He also stated that the progress report tendered by WHOI was actually from the previous month,therefore he did not distribute it. NEW BUSINESS I.
