Torn Fudala stated that there are only 3 members left on the watershed Management <br /> Committee. <br /> Paul reported that the wetlands in the vicinity of the drainage easement from the Mass <br /> Military Reservation to Johns pond are contaminated with heavy metals and petroleum <br /> chemicals. Bane Boretos says they are being monitored. <br /> Another topic of their meeting is that here is a problem involving Public Access at the <br /> Seconsett Island Causeway. Residents are upset over garbage being left, and the parking <br /> situation, and some residents took their vehicles and trailers and blocked the parking area, <br /> thus excluding the public. The Natural Resources Management Committee agreed to <br /> bring the issue to the waterways Commission to see what action they will take. <br /> . Barnstable.Count,Coastal Resources Committee Update—Gerald I al <br /> Jerry reported that there was no meeting. <br /> . Waterways Improvement Flan and Dred in Permits—Jinn Hanks <br /> Mashpee bier Dredge Permit <br /> Jim hanks reported that a teleconference was held between Greg Penta, Leslie Fields,Eric <br /> Hutchins, and himself regarding dredging the upper part of the Mashpee liver. Eric <br /> requires an Essential Fish Habitat analysis among other things to prove that the benefits <br /> outweigh the impacts in that part of the river. <br /> Jinx Hanks reported on a draft letter from the woods Hole Group listing the extra work <br /> required as a result of the MEPA certificate, and the fact that is out of scope. He outlined <br /> a plan to take the final later, assess the meaning of it and present a set of alternatives to <br /> the Board of Selectmen for their decision. <br /> He also stated that the progress report tendered by WHOI was actually from the previous <br /> month,therefore he did not distribute it. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> I.
