Public Comment; None. <br /> . review of Minutes—The minutes from 7 September 2004 were reviewed. Jim Hanks � <br /> moved the minutes of the regular meeting be accepted with or corrections. Bill Taylor <br /> seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> The minutes from the 7 September 2004 Executive Session were then reviewed. Jim Hanks <br /> moved the minutes be accepted as written. Paul Lumsden seconded the motion. The <br /> notion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Harbormaster Report—ferry Alis <br /> In Perry's absence,there was no Harbormaster Report. <br /> 2. Shellfish Constable Report—Rick York - <br /> Rick reported the following: <br /> Scallop season opened as usual on October l t. Approxfintely 100 people showed up. The <br /> water temperature was in the 60 degree Fahrenheit range. The water was calm and clear. There <br /> were enough scallops for people to get a meal. <br /> Overall, it was not a great year for scallops in the area. 'There are not many scallops in Vineyard <br /> Sound. <br /> The state closed all of Cape Cod and the Islands to shellfishing(except scallops) for four days in <br /> early October due to bacteria nmo 'from heavy rams. <br /> It has been a good year for growing shellfish,not for catching them. <br /> Seeding will continue everyear. <br /> Pagel of4 <br />
