MASHBEE WATERWAYS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES NOVEMBER 6, 1995 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Jim Hanks, Ben Gordon, Herb Silver, <br /> Fred Fordham, Dan Homeyer, William Rowland. <br /> Also present: Perry Ellis , Harbormaster <br /> CALL To ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7: 00 .m* <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: Donna Homeyer announced she participated in <br /> a boating and alcohol survey, and she received a letter re: <br /> the results. Mr, Homeyer stated that fatalities happen <br /> when the boat is not in operation. Ms. Homeyer will make a <br /> copy to include with the Minutes. <br /> MINUTES: Minutes of September 11, 1995 were accepted with <br /> orarections, deletions and additions made. Revised Minutes <br /> will be reissued with corrections made,, Minutes of September <br /> , 1995 were accepted as written* <br /> ir. York asked iaterwas to support the new proposed shellfishin <br /> area, 1. 2 acres. Monomoscoy Improvement Tryst, Coastal Resource <br /> Management Committee, and Shellfish Commission have voted to <br /> favor it. The hearing is going to be held at the Selectmen' s <br /> meeting. A motion was made, seconded, and unanimously voted <br /> to approve the setting up of a family shellfish area as presented <br /> by the Shellfish Warden* <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Harbormaster Rei ort: Mr. Ell is reviewed Mr. shites appl ication <br /> I I i I 5 Y <br /> for a dock in Popponesset Creek. He wants to add some <br /> pilings to tie up a 52 foot boat with a 3 foot draft* Mr. Ellis <br /> sloes not have a problem with it. Dr. Gordon stated that this <br /> is the widest part of the Creek and no impediment to navigation. <br /> Ur. Cordon made a motion that Waterway Commission sees no hazards <br /> to navigation to the above-mentioned pian. Mac. Homeyer amended <br /> the motion to read that Waterways Commission having reviewed <br /> the plan several times finds no adverse concerns with the Calan <br /> and airproves the submitted revised plan dated 2/22 Seconded. <br /> Unanimous, <br /> Mr. Thiteman' s Little River plan was reviewed. The neighbors <br /> have petitioned their concern with this dock. Mr. Ellis will <br /> e looking for Waterways input on this at a leer date. They <br /> re-engineered d i with galvanized pipesn a float to keep It <br /> simple. This will be put on next month' s agenda. <br />
