Town Hall Building Committee 2 Minutes August 5, 1997 Ili TOWN HALL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT REVIEW Mr. Hoit indicated that cost adjustments can be made to back charge the contractor by making deductions from his payment requisition. Discussion followed with regards to outstanding construction issues to be satisfactorily completed by Strekalovsky and Hoit, Inc. Mr: Hoit indicated that he has scheduled a walk-through on Friday, August 8, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. with the HVAC engineer, and an independent engineer to review the installation, calculations and systems design. The independent consultant will report directly to the Town informed Mr. Hoit. Mr. Martini and Mr. Taylor were requested to be present for the walk-through. Mr. Hoit was directed to confirm the scheduled inspection review with Mrs. Mason. It was noted that D'Agostino Associates is in possession of the operations manuals, and as-built drawings for the plumbing, sprinkler, and electrical systems. Mr. Hoit also indicated that a representative from the manufacturer of the brick cleaning product will conduct an on site inspection on Friday, August 8, 1997. Len Paoletta was requested to be on site on Friday,August 8, 1997 for the walk-through and inspection process. Capeway will be on site this week to correct all roof repairs informed Mr. Hoit. It was noted that D'Agostino Associates will be back charged for all roof areas to be repaired other than the shingled roof to be corrected by Capeway. Mrs. Mason presented a memo to Mr. Hoit relative to the placement of additional electrical outlets. It was noted that the directory signage has been installed. At this time, the kitchen area is being repaired to conform to handicap accessibility requirements. In addition, the knurled door knobs and cane guards are scheduled to be installed by Mr. Hoit's subcontractor.
