He stated that
Bob v hriten ur had asked for her assistance in writing the grant application to obtain
funding for the handicapped access renovation. Sharon stated that the application
needs to be very specific with regard to the renovations required for handicapped
access. She stated that they would be putting together the grant application over the
next month and asked if anyone had any questions or required any information. She
also stated that the application is due August 4, 1995. - Bob Whritenour stated that they
only had one month to complete this application and he had asked D nham and
Sweeney if they could provide a more detailed breakdown of ghat renovations were
specifically related to handicapped access. Sharon stated that this grant would also pair
for a portion of the Clerk of Works. Bob Whriten ur agreed and stated that this grant
could possibly pay for up to 25% of the project. Sharon mentioned that the grant would
not cover any design costs as this work would have to be completed prior to the grant
application. Bob Whrit nour stated that the more detailed they were in the grant
application, the better the chances were of obtaining the grant. Jim Vaccaro agreed
that this was very important as this grant could possibly provide approximately
$300,000 of funding for this project. Bob concluded this discussion by stating that they
would provide a copy of the grant application to the Committee before it was forwarded
for consideration.
Jim presented the meeting minutes from the June 14, 1995, Committee meeting and
asked all members if they had any corrections/additions to the minutes. As there were
none, Flay Martini motioned t accept the minutes from the ,dune 14, 1995,
meeting the Town Hall Building Committee. BobFox seconded the motion,
which was carried with ar unanimous Grote.
Jim Mated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss and select the architects to
be interviewed.
