r r <br /> Page 2 <br /> Town HaU Building Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> November 1, 1995 <br /> „REV _Off'PHASING 5CENARIO'S; <br /> Roger Hoit, Project Architect recommended the Committee select <br /> Option C and renovate the original building and addition at the same <br /> i <br /> time. <br /> Several general contractors specializing in municipal construction were <br /> in agreement to remove all personnel from the existing structure to <br /> speed the construction process informed Mr. Hoit. <br /> To leave the building partially occupied during construction would acid <br /> approximately two to three months to the construction schedule adding <br /> n estimated$100,000 to$150,000 to the construction cost. <br /> Moving Town Hall personnel into temporary offices and utilizing the <br /> existing portable offices will hasten the construction process,provide <br /> a less disruptive working environment and save the Town additional <br /> construction fees indicated Mr.Hoit. <br /> REVIEW OF TEMPORARY OFFICE SPACE: <br /> Mr. Hoit informed the Committee that he received cost estimates from <br /> three suppliers for temporary office space. The estimated sura to <br /> house six trailers on site is anticipated to cost$15,000 to $20,000. <br /> ID <br /> lumbing and electrical service fees Mn addition to moving expenses <br /> have been estimated to cost$10,000. The total cost for temporary office <br /> space for sic months will cost an estimated$25,000- $30,000 <br /> indicated Mr. Holt. <br /> REVIEW OF CONSTRUCTION PROCESS: <br /> It is the consensus of the Committee to re-structure the construction <br /> process. The Town Hall renovation/restoration project is anticipated to <br /> commence on April 1, 1996 opposed to January 1, 1996. <br /> (Enclosed: Phasing options- Revised) <br /> APPROVAL of PHASING N• <br /> *It is the consensus of the Cornrnittee to approve option C as <br /> recommended. lir. Vaccaro will present this option to the Board of <br /> Selectmen for consideration. <br /> The Board of Selectmen approved Option C as recommended on <br /> November 6, 1995. <br /> VOTE: - .
