Motion: Norah McCormick moved to accept the Volunteer and Program Support <br /> Coordinator's Report, seconded by Marijo Gorney. Vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> Activity Coordinator's Report <br /> The Activity Coordinator distributed her report for the month of March. Her report <br /> outlined several activities highlighting a 4-week Genealogy Course and a presentation <br /> on Cape Cods involvement in WWII. She stated the Senior Center hosted a retirement <br /> party for Gunner the Mashpee K9. They also held the quarterly Newcomer's Social in <br /> March and our first Getting to Know you Breakfast. <br /> She also noted she along with the Mashpee Housing Authority held a presentation on <br /> Navigating Public Housing for Seniors. She said they are currently scheduling a variety <br /> of activities and programs for.the upcoming months which include a Health Fair, <br /> National Picnic Day and a Citizens Police Academy. <br /> Motion: Marijo Gorney moved to accept the Activity Coordinator Report, <br /> seconded by Norah McCormick. Vote 5-0 <br /> COA Board Vacancy Interest <br /> The Director introduced Michael Murphy who was interested in the Board Vacancy and <br /> the Chair reviewed his resume. The Director explained the appointment process. The <br /> members thanked Mr. Murphy for coming in. <br /> There was a discussion on the recommendation of Mr. Murphy to the Board of <br /> Selectmen. <br /> Motion: Jeanne Noussee moved to recommend to the Board of Selectmen that <br /> Mr. Murphy be appointed to the Council on Aging, seconded by Nora McCormick. <br /> Vote unanimous 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Nominating Committee <br /> The Chair requested the nominating committee come up with a recommendation for a <br /> slate of officers for the 2019/2020 year. The nominating committee consists of Marijo <br /> Gorney, Jeanne Noussee. <br /> Healthy Aging Cape Cod <br /> The Director reviewed Age Friendly Massachusetts and also Healthy Aging Cape Cod. <br />
