The entrance to the site is located along the north
side of Rte. 28 just before the Mashpee rotary. Ken said there's plenty of parking in his
lot, and there are about three customers at a time. He already sold 70 out of the 180
trees, and he apologized for setting up the business prior to receiving a permit. There's a
small office located inside the existing building for his patrons, and it has restrooms
available. He is also providing hot chocolate to his customers. There hasn't been any
traffic issues, and most of the trees are sold during the weekends. The hours of operation
are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on the weekends. He asked if the volume of people is sporadic, and without any
issues entering and existing the lot. Scott said that he cannot really enforce the patrons to
exit right only, but it would be great to mention to them to exit right only.
Ken mentioned that most of his customers will exit to the right leaving the parking lot.
There have been no issues.
Glen asked about the bathrooms, and the access to the bathrooms in the existing
building. Ken said there's two bathrooms and they're both handicapped.
Chief Rullo asked Ken if he is telling people to only turn right out of the driveway. He said
he would be more comfortable if he did tell them to turn right. It would be great to have a
sign"right turn only". He had no other concerns.
1
