11 <br /> Board of Selectmen *DRAFT* <br /> Minutes <br /> May 20, 2019 <br /> TOWN MANAGER UPDATES (continued) <br /> A new and higher deductible health care plan is available for all Town employees. open <br /> enrollments ended on Friday and several employees have chosen this option. This will represent <br /> a cost savings to the employee and to the Town of Mashpee. <br /> With regards to safe waterways, the Town is seeking to expand the Popponesset Channel <br /> Approach to widen the Spit. <br /> The Mashpee Police Department has recently purchased a mutually owned Vantage F3 Robot to <br /> be used under high risk tactical situations with the use of drug forfeiture funds. <br /> The Council on Aging is considering reducing their membership from 7 to 5 members. A <br /> possible Town Meeting article would bring forth this recommended change. <br /> Through the Builders Risk Policy, $6,065 has been returned from the Quashnet School project. <br /> With the absence of the Building Inspector, Richard Stevens, the retired Building Inspector will <br /> be assisting the Town on a temporary basis. The terms and conditions of the agreement will be <br /> recommended by Town Counsel. It is anticipated Mr. Stevens would be compensated on a per <br /> inspection basis. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to close the Board of Selectmen Meeting at 7:13 p.me <br /> to convene the Affordable Housing Trust Meeting, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes opposed, none <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Kathleen M.
