MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> MAY 22,2019 <br /> Mr. Furbush read a memo dated May 20, 2019 from Mary Waygan, Chair Planning Board <br /> into the record. <br /> Attorney Brodie asks DHCD for local preference, and they have not ever declined. Mr. <br /> Bonvie asked the applicant if it were part of the motion, and they denied it would you need <br /> to return to the ZBA. Attorney Brodie doesn't know if it can be part of the decision. <br /> Bud Abbott, Affordable Housing Committee said that he doesn't see a problem with that <br /> statement in the decision. <br /> The Board and applicant agreed to include Charles Rowley's letter dated May 7, 2019 into <br /> the record. <br /> Sharon read Evan Lehrer, Town Planner's letter dated May 16, 2019 into the record. <br /> Mr.Furbush asked Charlie Maintanis,Building Inspector if this became a private road will <br /> it require meeting the Town standards for a road. <br /> Charlie said to keep in mind that this is supposed to be affordable. <br /> Mr. Bonvie said that he believes that Charlie Rowley would have an open mind to satisfy <br /> his comments, and if there is an issue, I would hope that the applicant would return to the <br /> Zoning Board of Appeals. <br /> Mr. Reedy said that after he read the letter,there are no major issues. <br /> Sharon read both Drew McManus, Conservation Agent dated May 16, 2019, and Glen <br /> Harrington, Board of Health Agent comments dated May 20, 2019 into the record. <br /> Mr. Furbush asked the Board members that the application will require Board of Health <br /> approval prior to a building permit. Mr. Bonvie said that under Chapter 40B the applicant <br /> is not exempt from wetlands or Board of Health, only zoning. <br /> Mr. Gould said he is pleased that he read the words "in perpetuity" as part of the <br /> application. <br /> There were no more comments from the Board. Mr. Furbush asked the audience if there <br /> were any comments. <br /> Ms. Shirley Peters, 206 Ashers Path West is a direct abutter who supports the project, and <br /> hopes that the Board of Health makes sure that the leaching field does not intrude on her <br /> property. <br /> 8 <br />
