*DRAFT* Board of Selectmen Minutes July 8, 2019 Discussion of the Town Pickleball Courts: (continued) Town Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated he has been attempting to address the noise concern of the Ashumet Road residents. There is a distinct possibility a sound barrier could be installed around the fencing to mitigate the noise. The Pickleball Courts is a CPA funded project and monies are available Within the budget to purchase the sound barrier material to be installed by the Department of Public Works. Motion made by Selectman Cotton to authorize the Town to purchase and install the sound barrier around the Pickleball Courts with the use of available CPA funding. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes opposed, none Discussion and A royal of the Following Special Event Tem. orar Si n Permit and One- Liquor ne-Li uor License Applications-, S ecial Event one Da Li uor License and Temporary Sign Permit Applications: La Tavola August 9 2019 - Mashpee Chamber of Commerce Mary Lou Palumbo: Mary Lu Palumbo was in attendance on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce to request approval of the Annual La Tavola event planned to be held on August 9, 2019 in Mashpee Commons at 64 Steeple Street in front of the Mashpee Library. The Special Event Application requests a one-Day Liquor License and a Temporary Sign Permit for (2) banners. This event has been held in the Town of Mashpee for the past 12 years. This is the only large fundraising event planned for the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce. Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Special Event Application to include a One- Day Liquor License and Temporary Sign Permit of the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce for the Annual La Tavola on Friday,August 9, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 64 Steeple Street, Mashpee subject to the appropriate sign-off from regulatory officials.
