All Mashpee Fire <br /> Department 911 emergency calls will be answered by the Mashpee Primary PSAP located at the Sheriff's <br /> Off-ice Com nur ications Center, as well as the seven digit fire department emergency,for call processing and <br /> dispatching over Mashpee Fire frequencies. The Town of Mashpee shall maintain the ability, within the <br /> Mashpee Police Department Dispatch Center, to serve as-a back-up fire department dispatch system. <br /> B ac4rou.nd: This is the standard annual contract for the services provided by the B C S o Dispatch Center, <br /> Past five fiscal years' history: <br /> Fiscal Year 2019 Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch and CMED: $103,972.92 <br /> Fiscal Year 2018 Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch and CMED: $104,024.41 <br /> Fiscal Year 2017 Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch and CMED: $106,665.89 <br /> Fiscal Year 2016 Combined Fee for Fire Dispatch and CMED: $74,211.47 <br /> Fiscal Year 2015 Fire Dispatch Fee: $82,320.00; CMED Fee: $8,576.00 (Total-, $90,896) <br /> Recommendation: The Fiscal Year 2020 Proposed Contract is- for a Combined,Fee for Fire Dispatch and <br /> CN/IED of$118,7 5 3,4 S. This represents a 14.2 % increase from FY 19, however FY18 &FY 19 were actually <br /> less than FY17. Comparing the proposed contract to FYI 7, it represents an 11.2% increase over the 4 years. <br /> Further,this contract has been budgeted in the FY20 expense budget. <br /> Pros and Cons: The department is required to have a third party dispatching services as we do-not have the <br /> ability-to manage or staff our own PSAP. I will always continue to evaluate other cost effective dispatching <br /> options which meet the needs of our commaunity. <br />
