Board.of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 8, 2019 <br /> Present: Selectman Andrew R. Gottlieb, Selectman Carol A. Sherman, <br /> Selectman John J. Cotton, Selectman Thomas F. O'Hara <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins <br /> Assistant Town Manager Wayne E. Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Gottlieb at 6:30 p.m. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Mary Waygan, Plam-ing Board Chair indicated the Board of Selectmen may receive an article <br /> seeking to amend the deadline for the submission of Town Meeting articles from the first Monday in <br /> July which is July 8t"this year to an August date. The Planning Board has recommended the deadline <br /> for the submission of articles not be modified. <br /> It was noted that today is the deadline for the submission of articles for the October Town Meeting <br /> warrant. In normal process the articles are submitted to the Board of Selectmen in draft format for <br /> review before the warrant is presented to Town Departments. <br /> Ms. Waygan indicated it is the intention of the Planning Board to comment on the articles when <br /> received. <br /> In other business, Paul Niedzwicki spoke on behalf of Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership <br /> regarding their intent to apply for a Development Agreement with the Cape Cod Commission. The <br /> Town of Mashpee was invited to participate as an active partner in the process. This is an <br /> opportunity to expedite the process and alleviate repetitive meetings. <br /> Mr. Niedzwicki indicated the existing development rights of Mashpee Commons are now 33 years <br /> old. At the joint sessions zoning and broader issues such as economic development, fiscal impacts <br /> and addressing wastewater plans would be collectively reviewed. <br /> Mr. Niedzwicki stated that Mashpee Commons would be filing a Notice of Intent with the Cape Cod <br /> Commission to apply for a Development Agreement. Mr. Niedzwicki requested the Town's support <br /> in their filing to the Cape Cod Commission. An official letter is forthcoming with respect to this <br /> regard. <br /> 3 <br />
