*DRAFT* BOS MINUTES JULY 225 2019 12 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 22, 2019 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Temporary..Sign.Permit: Cgpe Cod Collaborative• Anders Erikson: <br /> The Cape Cod Collaborative is requesting to erect(2) signs 2x3' to advertise employment <br /> opportunities for Bus Drivers. Anders Erikson was present to discuss his initial request to allow <br /> 4. <br /> signage to be placed in the area of the Mashpee Rotary for the five day period and allow the signage to <br /> be placed again for an additional five day period since it has been difficult finding school bus drivers. <br /> The Cape Cod Collaborative provides school bus transportation. There is a critical need for drivers in <br /> the Towns of Mashpee and Bourne. Mr. Erikson requested the Board support the placement for <br /> signage for 30 days until school begins, <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the Sign Policy#037. The.Board agreed to grant a waiver for <br /> public purpose; 10 days. Mr. Erikson was advised to request placement on the Board of Selectmen <br /> agenda on August 5, 2019 to review the results of the advertisement seeking employment for school <br /> bus drivers. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Temporary Sign Permit Application of the <br /> Cape Cod Collaborative for (2) signs in the area of the Mashpee Rotary for(10) days for public <br /> purpose. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed, none <br /> Temporary Sign Permit: Women's Club of New Seabur • Susan Finkle: <br /> Susan Finkle was in attendance on behalf of the women's Club of New Seabury requesting a <br /> Temporary Sign Permit to erect (5) 18x24" signs for their event the `Fair" scheduled to be held on <br /> November 125 2019. Signs would be placed on Great Oak Road, Walton Meath way, Great Neck <br /> Road South, Rock Landing Road, Falmouth Road, in the area of the Mashpee Rotary, Great Neck <br /> Road North and Red Brook Road. The signage would be in place from Monday, October 21, 2019 <br /> through Friday, October 25, 2019. All proceeds benefit local charities. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to approve the Temporary Sign Permit of the women's <br /> Club of New Seabury for signs at (5) locations as referenced, to be removed immediately <br /> following October 25,2019. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Boll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed,.none <br />
