Doherty <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE UR oS OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY <br /> Ir. Stephen J, Greelish, Chairman <br /> 1 . Warrants signed <br /> APPOINTMENT: Wilbur Oakley - Illegal Dump <br /> Members of the Conservation Commission and theConserva- <br /> tion Agent were in attendance. Mr. Oakley was requested to <br /> attend however, was not present during the scheduled appoint- <br /> ment time, he did appear later in the meeting. <br /> Mr. Sherman relayed he was notified by M . McQuaid of an <br /> illegal dump site off of Route 130. "Upon inspection i t was <br /> noted there is a dump site in close proximity to a wetland <br /> area,. " "We will require the owner file a request for "Deter- <br /> minatio of Applicability" to determine the size and extent <br /> of the wetland. 11 <br /> . Mr. Greelish questioned Mr. Sherman as to whether there <br /> is standing water at the .present time. <br /> Mr. Sherman responded, yes. <br /> # * 4 1 - <br /> k _ � <br /> Mr, McQuaid stated, upon inspection the -following items <br /> were found: Mite goads (i .e. refrigerators and stoves) , <br /> toilets, abandoned fuel tanks, 700 yards of brush which was <br /> deposited there as 'a result of % "Hurricane Bob" , pallets and <br /> building debris. 118ubsequent t 'the initial inspection a <br /> significant amount. of backfilling of soil had taken place <br /> oyer what I had taken*pictures* of. #' ' "Mr.� Oakley did come i <br /> and acknowledge heowas ,responsible and agreed Oto attend the <br /> meeting, " -- % "Mr. -* ca l y indicated he wai already F in tthe pro <br /> cess of cleaning up the area. " "I did inform him to cease <br /> all work near the kettle hole. " �"Mr.. Oakley is in violation <br /> of the State regulation which requires all landfill op- <br /> erations to be assigned and approved by the State and the lo. <br /> cal Board of Health.11 <br />
