MINUTES October 22 , 1992 2 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> Mr, McQuaid recommended a licensed pumper/installer and <br /> health agent inspect all systems whose records indicate ex- <br /> cessive pumping. "I would like to see copies of the testre- <br /> sults for the well and pond waters. " "I would also recommend <br /> the Board strongly require the perspective buyer to tie-ire to <br /> public water. " <br /> Mr, Evans commented there are no records on file regard- <br /> ing the water system. <br /> Mr, Haney stated he will have a 5 year lease on the well <br /> field after which public water service is required. <br /> Mr, Gree 1 ish recommended Mr. Haney retain an engineer to <br /> review the leaching facilities and submit a proposal to <br /> remediate the existing systems, as well as, an implementation <br /> for a water systems. <br /> Mr. Haney stated he will consider the Boards' request <br /> however, would be financially burdensome at this stage a <br /> there are other projects which must be completed. <br /> Mr, Greelish commented, if the existing systems keep <br /> failing at the current rate, 30 of the 40 systems will her <br /> expired in fire years. "A plan will reduce overall costs to <br /> bring the systems up to grade. " <br /> Mr, Doherty requested Mr, Haney provide the Board with a <br /> plot plan delineating each lot and the septic systems servic- <br /> ing each lot, as well as, a timetable for replacement of the <br /> substandard systems and public water hookup. "Those systems <br /> having excessive pumping records or declared in failure shall <br /> have priority, " <br /> Mr, Haney stated he will address the failed systems im- <br /> mediately, "I will provide a copy of the water analysis how- <br /> ever, I cannot provide water service to each lot at this <br /> time. <br /> Mr. McQuaid recommended Mr, Haney contact Ms. Lee Tripp <br /> t the Division of Water Supply and request a letter stating <br /> the non-community water supply currently utilized is .,, satis- <br /> factory and r ee .s all r qi irements. - <br /> Nor.
