MINUTES October 22 , 1992 2 BOARD of HEALTH Mr, McQuaid recommended a licensed pumper/installer and health agent inspect all systems whose records indicate ex- cessive pumping. "I would like to see copies of the testre- sults for the well and pond waters. " "I would also recommend the Board strongly require the perspective buyer to tie-ire to public water. " Mr, Evans commented there are no records on file regard- ing the water system. Mr, Haney stated he will have a 5 year lease on the well field after which public water service is required. Mr, Gree 1 ish recommended Mr. Haney retain an engineer to review the leaching facilities and submit a proposal to remediate the existing systems, as well as, an implementation for a water systems. Mr. Haney stated he will consider the Boards' request however, would be financially burdensome at this stage a there are other projects which must be completed. Mr, Greelish commented, if the existing systems keep failing at the current rate, 30 of the 40 systems will her expired in fire years. "A plan will reduce overall costs to bring the systems up to grade. " Mr, Doherty requested Mr, Haney provide the Board with a plot plan delineating each lot and the septic systems servic- ing each lot, as well as, a timetable for replacement of the substandard systems and public water hookup. "Those systems having excessive pumping records or declared in failure shall have priority, " Mr, Haney stated he will address the failed systems im- mediately, "I will provide a copy of the water analysis how- ever, I cannot provide water service to each lot at this time. Mr. McQuaid recommended Mr, Haney contact Ms. Lee Tripp t the Division of Water Supply and request a letter stating the non-community water supply currently utilized is .,, satis- factory and r ee .s all r qi irements. - Nor.
