BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING <br /> TUESDAY, October 9, 2018 <br /> MASHPEE LIBRARY CONFERENCE ROOM <br /> Present: Mary LeClair, Matt Auger,Amanda Hall, Sandra Horsman, Joan Lyons, <br /> Ann Macdonald, Virginia Scharfenberg <br /> Also Present: Kathy Mahoney—Library Director <br /> Mary LeClair, Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. <br /> Public Discussion: None <br /> Joan Lyons arrived 4:06 p.m. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> MOTION: Virginia Scharfenberg motioned to accept the Regular Meeting minutes of September 11, <br /> 2018 as amended. The Motion was seconded by Ann Macdonald. <br /> Yes-5. VOTE: <br /> Roll Call Vote: Virginia Scharfenberg, yes Mary LeClair, yes <br /> Ann Macdonald, yes Joan Lyons, yes <br /> Matt Auger, yes Amanda Hall, abstained <br /> Sandra Horsman, abstained <br /> Friends of the Mashpee Library <br /> The Friends are interested in setting up fundraising plan for the garden area and would like input or <br /> any guidelines from Trustees. Ginny Scharfenberg will identify the plants, trees, and shrubs, and bring <br /> in the name placards. The Library Director will follow up with the DPW Director for information <br /> about vendors who supply memorial plaques. <br /> National Friends of the Library Week is corning up in October and Trustees indicated they would like <br /> to recognize the Friends efforts. The Library Director will follow up with press release and/or <br /> proclamation. <br /> j <br /> brary Director's Repore Library Director reported that a new part-time Circulation Assistant has been hired and was <br /> ginning work after scheduling issues were resolved. <br /> e Library Director's report was discussed including updates on the American Libraries Association <br /> ommendations for Meeting Room Policies, and the need to continue to review and update policies <br /> concerning political and/or religious activities. The Library Director will continue to research and <br />
