Ms. Waygan read aloud a letter of <br /> response dated August 15, 2019 into the record. (Enclosed) <br /> At their meeting ofJuly ly '1, 2019,, the Planning Board voted unanimously to respond to Allashpee Commons that <br /> Development t gr Bement for the proposed expansion of ash ee Commons would be advantageous to all parties <br /> involved. The Planning Boar dfurt r discussed the desire e to solicit comments from Town Boards and <br /> Committees regarding the proposed se expansion on the Mashpee Commons Development Agreement nt Application is <br /> available and Mashpee Commons can provide a comprehensive presentation to the Town. It is hoped that <br /> comments accepted by the Panning Boardft-wn other Boards and Committees will become part of the <br /> negotiation process, if indeed negotiations are necessary. <br /> Previously, Mashpee Commons submitted a formal letter to the oard o Selectmen requesting the Town'ssupport of their filing of aNotice '�l tent with the Cape Cod Commission t . ply for a Development <br /> Agreement, and to encourage the Town to join as an active partner inAhe process, This would streamline the <br /> procedure, allow for transparency and alleviate the repetition of conversation. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the negotiating team reccnm.-.ended by the Joint regulatory committee. <br /> Regarding the negotiating tea i, Ms. Way an indicated the Planning Board needs to see the application prior to <br /> any discussions regarding the expansion of the negotiating team. The Planning Board has made it clear in the <br /> past as to what will be an acceptable plan in moving forward, and it is hopeful that Mashpee Commons will <br /> incorporate the aspects into the plan.. Ms. Wayga,n also stated the Planning Board may add regulatory input as <br /> they see fit to expand their capacity in reviewing the plan. Comments from regulatory officials would be <br /> received, but regulatory officials would not be a part of the negotiation team at this time. For now, it is the five- <br /> member,Planning <br /> ive-member,Planning :hoard charged with:negotiating the Development Agreement. <br />
