Memo <br /> T o Mashpee Board of Selectman <br /> From.,, Gail Wilson/The Mashipee Substance Use'Task Force <br /> Re: National Recovery Month-September, 2019 <br /> Date: August 30, 2019 <br /> Recovery Month is a national observance held every September to educate Americans that <br /> substance use treatment and'mental health services can enable those with a mental health <br /> and or substance use disorder live a healthy and rewarding life. The observance reinforces the <br /> positive, message that behavioral health is, essential to overall health, prevention works, <br /> treatment is effective and individuals do recover. <br /> The 2019 Recovery Month theme, "J'oin the Voices for Recovery: Together We Are Stronger," <br /> emphasizes the need to share resources and build networks across the county that support <br /> recovery in all its, forms. The observances gives hope to those who are, may be struggling that <br /> Recovery in all its forms is possible. <br /> In, recognition of National�Recovery month, the Mashpee Substance Use Task Force is seeking <br /> to have the month of September, 2019 named National Recovery Month. <br /> Please accept this proclamation request for the selectman's agenda for early September. We <br /> appreciate all of your support. <br />
