4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 22, 2019 <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Richard Klein, a resident of 205 Ashers Path West recommended the Town consider assessing <br /> betterments to pay for wastewater. Mr. Klein indicated there is no reason why the Town is <br /> dragging their feet to make a decision to get the waterways clean. Mr. Klein urged the Board of <br /> Selectmen to work on this matter, and get it done as time is of the essence. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Acceptance of Quitclaim Deed of Land for Conservation Purposes <br /> from Evergreen Energy LLC to the Town of Mashpee acting by and through its Conservation <br /> Commission, Pursuant to MGL c. 408�c. <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed the Quitclaim Deed from Evergreen Energy LLC with their <br /> selected representative Mike Forde. The Quitclaim Covenants as describe include a land area <br /> containing 25.97 acres on a plan entitled "Definitive Subdivision Plan Evergreen Circle prepared <br /> for Evergreen Industrial Park, 558 Main Street (Route 130) Mashpee, MA." <br /> It was disclosed the Conservation Commission has executed the Quitclaim Deed. Pursuant to the <br /> Cape Cod Commission's decision, the Board of Selectmen must accept the deed for conservation <br /> purposes to permanently protect the 25.97 acres of open space. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and execute the Quitclaim Deed of Land <br /> for Conservation Purposes from Evergreen Energy LLC to the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Action on Draft#4 October 21, 2019 Town Meeting Warrant: <br /> The Board of Selectmen took action on Draft#4 of the October 21, 2019 Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Article 8: Rental Property Bylaw <br /> The bylaw would assist the Town in the enforcement of state and local health and <br /> safety laws and regulations and provide a method to correct violations which <br /> would require immediate attention. <br /> It was agreed this article would be HELD to allow for additional comment. <br /> Recommendations may be forwarded to the Town Manager's Office. <br />
