5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 9, 2019 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Michael Rapacz: Mashpee Water QualitK <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed communication from Michael Rapacz dated August 3, 2019 <br /> regarding the matter of wastewater. It was determined that all questions and comments would be <br /> addressed at special meetings on wastewater, and be factored into the Town's Water Quality <br /> Management Program. The dates and times of the workshops will be revealed on this agenda. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Appointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals; <br /> Associate Member (Term to Expire June 30, 2022): Elana Dom <br /> Communication was received from Elana Doyle dated September 5, 2019 advising the Town <br /> Manager/Board of Selectmen she is no longer seeking appointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals. <br /> The matter was taken under advisement. No action was required. <br /> Discussion and Approval of: <br /> Special Event; Temporary Sign Permit: 6th Annual Pet Fest: September 28, 2019: Town Clerk Deborah <br /> Dami: <br /> Deborah Dami, Town Clerk was in attendance to request approval of the 61h Annual Mashpee Pet Fest <br /> scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 with a rain date of September 29"' at the <br /> Mashpee Community Park. The Special Event Application includes a Temporary Sign Permit for (8) <br /> signs to be posted along Great Neck Road North, Route 130, and around the Community Park to <br /> announce the event and its activities. <br /> It is anticipated that 100 participants would attend this function which involves a rabies clinic, Police & <br /> Fire Department demonstrations, a blessing of the animals, music, food trucks and pet related vendors. <br /> Set up would begin at 10:00 a.m. for the 11:00 a.m. —2:00 p.m. event. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to approve the Special Event Application and Temporary <br /> Sign Permit Application of the Town Clerk for the 6t" Annual Pet Fest as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br />
