Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Gottlieb at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> APPOINTMENTS &HEARINGS <br /> Certification of Hiring Process: Fire Department Administrative Assistant: Christa Comp : <br /> Correspondence was received from Fire Chief Thomas C. Rullo dated September 10,2019 relative to the <br /> Hiring Process for the position of Administrative Assistant. All phasing of the entry level selection process was <br /> adhered to with the assistance, monitoring and review of the Department of Human Resources. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to certify and confirm the appointment of Cl-rista Comp to the <br /> position of Administrative Assistant to the Fire Department. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Colton. <br /> VOTE: Unanir-nous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed,none <br /> Sandwich Town Manager George,"Bud"Dunham: Presentation on the Town of Sandwich's Ex -erience Dealin <br /> with Developing a Plan for wastewater management and Finance: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met with Town Manager George"Bud"Dunham, Town Manager of the Town of <br /> Sandwich to-review the town's experiences in developing a plan for wastewater managements and finance. <br /> Mr. Dunham summarized the primary wastewater efforts in the past ten years which include the following, <br /> Massachusetts Estuaries Program participation with several appropriations to share expenses. <br /> The north facing embayment's have been designated as clean areas with problematic embayment-sites; <br /> Popponesset, Three Bays and waquoit Bay. <br /> Contaminants emanating from the Base to the Town of Sandwich have resulted in a$6 million dollar settlement <br /> from Joint Base Cape Cod(JBC'%-'-)Textron. Mitigation funding has been used to complete the Town's <br /> Comprehensive water Resources Management Plan(CW1U\AP). The plan was completed 1.5 years ago with no <br /> Town funds utilized. <br />
