Review of current draft of site plan.
Glenn McCarthy and David Long from Mashpee Clean Waters Committee were present to hear
Anastasia Rudenko and Lenna Quackenbush from GHD share the updated site plans. There were three
updates:
1. Layout of the Site-Single entrance through the transfer station, with a Knox Box for 24 hour
access.
2. Increased buffers-200 ft to the south and 200 ft from Ashers Path.
MA DEP requires 25ft buffer for the sand beds, we are roughly 6X more.
Tom Fudala mentioned that we added a 50 ft buffer along the transfer station to ensure the
people to the north don't see the site.
3. Reduced Footprint- Got rid of the control building and incorporated it into the two remaining
buildings. All equipment is inside buildings to control odor and odor is ducted into the ground.
Working to control noise, but it is greatly mitigated by keeping everything in buildings.
Brad Pittsley asked if the existing road would be adequate.Tom Fudala answered yes, they just need to
work on the template with the Fire Department to make sure the Tower Trucks can get through.
