*DRAFT* SELECTMEN MINUTES 11-4-2019 11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 4,2019, <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> New Bedford Waste Services .LLC: Michael A. Camera, General Manager: (continued) <br /> Further discussions revealed that Mr. Camera is utilizing several different outlets for the 20 <br /> Massachusetts communities that he serves. It was disclosed that all of the respective towns operated by <br /> NBWS have a unilateral increase to their contracts. For the remainder of 2019 Mr. Camera stated the <br /> price for Mashpee would be $60.60 per ton. <br /> There was concern other than the demand letter, conversations and/or meetings were not requested. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to authorize Town Manager Rodney C. Collins to meet with <br /> Michael A. Camera and DPW Director Catherine Laurent to evaluate and negotiate the terms and <br /> conditions of the Waste Disposal Agreement with New Bedford Waste Services,LLC bringing <br /> forward a recommendation to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes <br /> In closing, Mr. Camera recommended the Board send a letter to the Governor on this State-wide issue. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Public Hearing (continued from June 17 2019)—Proposed Parking Ban on Surf Drive Tradewind Drive, <br /> .Leeshore Drive Sextant Circle Sandy Way, Driftwood Way Barnacle Lane and Albatross Circle: <br /> The Board of Selectmen opened the Public Hearing continued from June 17, 2019 on the proposed <br /> Parking Ban on Surf Drive, Tradewind Drive, Leeshore Drive, Sextant Circle, Sandy Way, Driftwood <br /> Way,Barnacle Lane and Albatross Circle. <br /> The meeting was continued to allow for adequate public comment, and to obtain affirmation from the <br /> residents before the police enforcement restriction is implemented. <br /> Bill Krylowicz, newly elected President of the Seabrook Village Association(SVA) was in attendance to, <br /> review the proposed parking ban with members of the Board of Selectmen.. Mr. Krylowicz indicated the <br /> overnight parking ban has been in the associations covenant since 1998,but it was not recognized. There <br /> have been issues regarding abuse of the overnight parking for several years. <br /> The amlual meeting of the Seabrook Village Association, Inc. was held on Saturday, September 14, 2019. <br /> A vote to implement the overnight parking ban restriction on SVA Streets as identified was 57 in favor, 3 <br /> opposed. <br /> Approval of the enforcement would prompt the Town of Mashpee to erect signage and remit notification <br /> of the overnight parking ban to the Mashpee Police Department for enforcement. <br /> There was no additional public comment. <br />
