15 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 4, 2019 <br /> Road Detours to the Town of Sandwich: (continued) <br /> Road construction in the Town of Sandwich will represent a detour in the Town of Mashpee for the <br /> portion of one day. It is the recommendation of the Director of Public Works to impose conditions for <br /> work on November 14, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to not interfere with the passage of school <br /> buses. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to request the Town of Sandwich conduct their roadwork on <br /> Thursday,November 14,2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to not delay the school buses. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Special Events: The Annual Holiday Parade with the theme Christmas Around the World is scheduled to <br /> be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rain date of December 8, <br /> 2019. <br /> The Annual Tree Lighting at the Mashpee Rotary will be held on Friday,November 29, 2019 starting at <br /> 4:00 p.m. in Mashpee Commons. <br /> A Season of Illumination Party is planned on Thursday,November 21, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br /> at The Club at New Seabury. A raffle is planned to kick of the holiday season. Funds will offset the <br /> lighting costs at the Mashpee Rotary. The holiday events as referenced are sponsored by the Mashpee <br /> Chamber of Commerce. <br /> Barnstable County Dredge: The County dredge program is moving forward. The new dredge has been <br /> delivered and inspected. <br /> Veterans Day: The Veterans Day Memorial is scheduled to be held on Monday,November 11, 2019 at <br /> 10:00 a.m. in the Veterans Memorial Garden. Selectman John J. Cotton will represent the Board of <br /> Selectmen at this event. <br /> Road Projects/Sewer Mains: With the upcoming wastewater projects it has been recommended the Town <br /> move forward to advance the design and construction of sewer collection systems in major road <br /> reconstruction. This would include easements and permits. Of note is the Route 151 Corridor project <br /> anticipated to begin construction in 2022. To begin this process, it was agreed the Board would develop <br /> policy for new road reconstruction. The Sewer Commission will be requested to provide a <br /> recommendation regarding the assessment of betterments and with collective information from the <br /> Director of Public Works regarding road construction the Board would develop policy. <br />
