Marie Stevenson, Winnie Johnson-Graham, Lynne Waterman, JoAnn <br /> Nadeau; Patty DeBoer, Katherine Brown <br /> Also Present: Human Resource Director Kim Landry <br /> Absent: Gail Wilson, Selectman Liaison John Cotton, William Baker (Non-Voting Member), <br /> Cheyenne Hendricks (Non-Voting Member) <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The meeting was opened by the Chair at 10:09 a.m. with a quorum. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES September 10, 2019 <br /> There were no comments regarding the minutes. <br /> MOTION: A motion was made by Ms.Waterman to accept the minutes as presented. Ms. <br /> Johnson-Graham seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> None at this time <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> None at this time <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Guests with Possible Interest in the Two Voting Member Positions-The Chair invited <br /> two individuals interested in the Committee, Sue Wilson and Mohamad Fand, and distributed <br /> their letters of interest. Ms. S. Wilson had attended a prior meeting. Mr. Fand was not present at <br /> today's meeting. Ms. S. Wilson summarized the letter she submitted, expressing her excitement <br /> to learn of the existence of the Committee and stating her belief that there was no equality for <br /> anyone until there was equality for everyone. Ms. S. Wilson shared her relocation to Mashpee <br /> and background in nursing and now law, as well as her non-profit work,particularly in the <br /> LGBQ community and Mass Breast Cancer Coalition. On Cape, Ms. S. Wilson has been active <br /> working with Cape Cod Pride, sponsoring a variety of events throughout the Cape. Ms. S. <br /> Wilson expressed her wish to join the Committee. Ms. Waterman inquired about Ms. S. <br /> Wilson's feelings regarding the Committee being a Town, rather than Ad-Hoc, Committee which <br /> required more structure and less flexibility and Ms. S. Wilson responded that she had previously <br /> served on a Town Committee elsewhere, but appreciated that Mashpee had a Committee to <br /> address the issue. <br /> The Chair noted that Mr. Fand may have been out of the country and summarized the letter and <br /> resume he submitted, expressing his interest in helping to support and promote a sense of <br />
