4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 18, 20 t 9 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Hearing: Annual Tax Classification Hearing: Assessor Jason Streebel, Treasurer/Tax Collector <br /> Craig Mayen: (continued) <br /> Mary Waygan encouraged the Board of Selectmen to revisit this conversation. Seasonal residents use <br /> Town services and properties are protected with police and fire services. At least 30% of housing units are <br /> only used for part of the year. Some communities are considering a tax on properties that are not used <br /> year- round to create some form of affordable housing. <br /> Pamela McCarthy asked what other towns are doing on this issue. It was disclosed that Barnstable, <br /> Provincetown, Wellfleet,Nantucket have residential exemptions. Currently, there are less than two dozen <br /> in the State of Massachusetts. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Sherman to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to adopt a tax rate Factor of"1" for all classes of property with <br /> no discount for Open Space, no Residential Exemption and no Small Commercial Exemption. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: 3-1-1. Change of Officer& Change of Beneficial Interest, 99 West, LLC d/b/a 99 Restaurant & <br /> Pub 8 Ryan's Wad Mashpee, MA. Attorney Joseph H. Devlin: <br /> The Board of Selectmen acting as the Licensing Authority for the Town of Mashpee opened the Public <br /> Hearing on the application of 99 West, LLC d/b/a 99 Restaurant& Pub for a Change of Officer and <br /> Change of Beneficial Interest. <br /> The Hearing notice was read aloud in accordance with posting procedures. Joseph Devlin Counsel for 99 <br /> West, LLC was in attendance on behalf of the Licensee to review the specifics of the Change of Officer <br /> and Change of Beneficial Interest with the Board of Selectmen and interested public. <br /> It was disclosed that Kurt Schnaubelt is being named an LLC manager and the Chief Financial Officer, and <br /> W. Craig Barber is being names an LLC manager and the Chief Executive Officer of the Licensed Entities. <br /> Brent Bickett, Timothy Janszen and Greg Hayes are being removed as LLC Managers. <br />
