Baker
Monument, who did the plaque, has the exact original plaque that, when finished, was found
to have a misspelled name of one of the members: the name McCall was spelled MC Call.
The plaque is in bronze, and Baker Monument will give it to us at no cost, but will charge for
the installation. Another option would be to have a new plaque made which could be
aluminum and much cheaper than bronze, and also less likely to be stolen. The aluminum
would not weather as well as the bronze, over time. The cost for the plaque that was stolen
was $580 in 2005. The cost today for a new bronze plaque would be $800 to $900.
1
