Any board, officer, committee or <br /> department may deny any application for or revoke or suspend any local license,.or permit, including renewals <br /> and transfers, for any person, corporation or business enterprise who has neglected or refused to pay any local <br /> taxes, fees assessments, betterments or any other municipal charges, or with respect to any activity, event or <br /> other matter which is subject of such license or permit and which activity, event or matter is carried out or <br /> exercised or is to be carried out or exercised on or about any real estate whose owner has neglected or refused <br /> to pay any local taxes, fees, assessments,betterments or any other municipal charges. <br /> History: Amended 1-6-1997, ATM,Article 24, approved by Attorney General on 3-9-1998. <br /> Shellfish Aquaculture License Application Checklist: <br /> Steps 1 through 13 completed before approval by the Harbormaster. <br /> Steps 1 through 14 completed before approval by the Shellfish Constable. <br /> Steps 1 through 18 completed before hearing by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Steps 1 through 22 completed before RDA/NOI application to the Conservation Commission. <br /> ❑ I.Obtain and read the Mashpee Shellfish Aquaculture Regulations,Mashpee Shellfish Aquaculture <br /> Application Procedure, Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 130 sections 57 through 68,the DMF <br /> Shellfish Growing Area Classifications, Shellfish Resource Maps, Mashpee Conservation Commission <br /> Notice of Intent Instructions and forms, the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries Shellfish <br /> Aquaculture Best Management Practices (added), and the US Army Corps of Engineers Programmatic <br /> General Permit (PGP) and Letter of Permission. <br /> Commission Comments: <br /> Fisher: "We will be adding that the applicant obtains and reads the Massachusetts Division of Marine <br /> Fisheries Shellfish Aquaculture Best Management Practices. This document BMPs teaches the applicant <br /> everything they need to know about aquaculture." <br /> Thomas: " Is this where we should add in the Shellfish Aquaculture Course requirement?" <br /> Fisher: "Yes,we can add that as the next step in the application process. But I would like the applicant <br /> to first obtain and read these documents. " <br /> 2.Complete an acceptable Shellfish Aquaculture Course. The Fundamentals of Shellfish Farming offered <br /> through the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension is acceptable. <br /> Commission added at the drat review as written above: 3-12-19 <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Matoain: "Can you add an approved list of courses. Some people might have a hard time taking <br /> a course if they work during the day. <br /> Fisher: "An approved list can be added to the website in the future." <br /> ❑ 3.
