Matt West: (continued) <br /> Applicable Departments have reviewed the application with stipulations imposed by the Police Department <br /> for (2) Detail.Police Officers, (4) hours each, and by the DPW'for the collection of litter from the water <br /> stations along the race route. <br /> A temporary sign permit was included in the,application for (16) directions signs and mile markers measuring <br /> 6"x1 S" along the race route. <br /> Mr. West stated the race is generally held on a Sunday. Smith-- <br /> Great River o ster CompgaL 226 Monomoscoy Road Mashpee, MA: <br /> The Board of Selectmen opened the Public Hearing on the application filed on December 23, 2019 by Great <br /> River oyster Company,Thomas F. Smith, Founder, 226 Monomoscoy Road, Mashpee. The applicant is <br /> requesting a Shellfish Aquaculture License (Shellfish Grant) for a 2.5 acre parcel with.a total perimeter of <br /> 1,752' to be located on Northern Great River adjacent to Monomoscoy Island to grow eastern oysters. <br /> Demarcation buoys will be 15"round standard yellow balls, anchored at the corners of the site. The <br /> application, as well as plans for the licensed area, is on file at the office of the Town Manager and Board of <br /> Selectmen. <br /> In accordance with posting procedures, the public notice was read into the record. Thomas F. Smith was in <br /> attendance to review the specifics of the application request with the Board of Selectmen. Ashley Fisher, <br /> Shellfish Constable w' as also present for discussion purposes. <br /> Mr. Smith has lived in Monomoscoy for the past 40 years. His goal is to help clean the estuary and rivers <br /> while establishing a sustainable business growing eastern oysters. <br /> Mr. Smith indicated he resides at the site, 226 Monomoscoy Road, the intended Shellfish Grant area, a 2.5 acre <br /> site with a total perimeter of 1,752 feet (115,395 sq.ft.) located in Lower Great River, Mashpee. <br /> The bottom of the river at the proposed aquaculture site is described as "dead muck". The mean high water <br /> line for Lower Great River is 1.7' with a mean low water line of 1.5"— 1.75 <br /> . <br />
