Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Gottlieb at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> MINUTES <br /> Monday January 6 2020 Regular Session&Executive Session: <br /> Monday December 2, 2019 Executive Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the Regular & Executive Session minutes of <br /> Monday, January 6, 2020 and the Executive Session minutes of Monday, December 2, 2019 as <br /> presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0-1. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden, abstained Opposed, none <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: <br /> On the matter of wastewater Gregory McKelvey urged the Board of Selectmen to look at all aspects including <br /> controlled development, and projects of critical value to invest in the town to provide for what is essentially <br /> needed spending wisely for the benefit of the taxpayer. <br /> In other business Mr. McKelvey indicated he is supportive of the FORWARD program regional and <br /> supportive affordable housing for those with Autism. Mr. McKelvey indicated he is affected by this disability <br /> on the homefront, and asked the Board to open their hearts to support this program. Eight units are proposed <br /> to be developed to ease the critical need for those who are aging out of the special education system capped at <br /> 22 years. Although the Department of Development Services selects the residents based on need, one person <br /> from Mashpee or possibly eight persons from Mashpee may possibly reside at the facility located in the Town <br /> of Dennis. <br /> Discussion and Approval of a Special Event & Temporary Sign Permit: Annual Lovin' Life 5K; <br /> SaturdayMay, 30 2020; 9 am— 12 Noon: LIFE Inc. Matt West: <br /> Matt West was in attendance representing the LIFE, Inc. Community Center requesting approval of the annual <br /> Lovin' Life 5k fundraiser scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. <br /> Approximately 250-300 participants are anticipated to attend the run/walk. All proceeds from this fundraiser <br /> benefit the Special Olympics Program. <br /> The race is planned to begin at Commercial Street and circle around the Industrial Park. The route continues <br /> down Mercantile Road turning right on Great Neck Road South to the LIFE Community Center. <br />
