The project will help to address the immediate regional need to provide more
appropriate purpose-built affordable and supportive housing for the growing and underserved population of
adults with developmental disabilities.
The project to construct two homes, eight units of affordable housing began six years ago. The Town of
Dennis generously donated 5 acres of land and committed$500,000 toward the project. Other CPC partners
include the Towns of Barnstable, Yarmouth, Chatham and Brewster as well as funding assistance from the
Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC), Cape Abilities and though State grants and private contributions.
