congregating in large masses. we could, conceivably run the election outside in the back
of Town Hall.
* No matter where we hold the election, if the social-distancing rule is still in effect, with
fifteen workers, we could only allow five voters into the polling place at one time. I have
run early voting out of the first-floor conference rooms in town hall a number of times over
the last four years so I am prepared to operate the election at town hall with minimal
logistical issues.
I realize that I am making a case to postpone the election until a future date, but please keep
in mind that in addition to holding town meeting and the annual town election in June the operation
of selling stickers out the Sticker office is currently scheduled to begin on June 1, 2020.
In the past, the Sticker office would gradually see an increase in sticker sales as we got
closer to July Pt. However, once the governor allows everyone to begin resuming their normal
day-to-day activities, we will see a higher volume of sticker sales earlier in June than we would
normally see around the end of June.
